Operations Manager Apprenticeship Level 5 is a nationally recognised leadership and management qualification. Through our partnership with ioda, Rethink HSEQ has shaped and contextualised this programme specifically for HSEQ leaders working in regulated, high-risk environments.

This programme is designed for experienced professionals who are:

  • HSEQ Managers or Heads of HSEQ
  • Senior Advisors stepping into people or operational leadership
  • Responsible for managing teams, change, risk and stakeholder influence
  • Looking to progress beyond technical expertise into broader leadership roles

A recognised qualification delivered through an HSEQ lens

While the Operations Manager Apprenticeship Level 5 is a generic leadership and management standard, this programme has been designed specifically with HSEQ professionals in mind.

Through collaboration between Rethink HSEQ and ioda:

  • Case studies reflect real HSEQ challenges
  • Workshops explore leadership in regulated, high-risk environments
  • Assignments are grounded in safety, health, environment and quality scenarios

Experienced Rethink HSEQ coaches are involved in delivering and shaping the programme, bringing real-world experience of leading HSEQ functions and driving cultural change.

What you’ll learn

The programme includes a workplace business project aligned to your role and organisation, followed by an End Point Assessment.

  • CMI Diploma in Management and Leadership
  • Chartered Manager Status
